Meet our founder, Taylor Opdahl—a graphic designer based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan with over eight years of experience in branding and design. With a business degree and years of business consulting experience, Taylor blends creativity with strategy to craft visuals that not only look great but also drive growth.

Our focus at Cycle Design is working with small to medium businesses to create professional brands that create trust and demand amongst your clients. From logos, to website design, to full-scale brand development, we’re here to replace your DIY in-house design with professionalism… without paying agency prices.

Beyond Cycle Design, Taylor is the Director of Strategy and Branding for a sports apparel brand, gaining hands-on experience in marketing, brand growth, and consumer engagement. This dual perspective allows us to create designs that are both creative and business-savvy.

  • My favourite clients are small-medium sized businesses/organizations!

    The reason: too often I see businesses trying to manage their design in house, creating an unprofessional presence that discounts the quality of what their business actually does.

    I love clients who are fun to be around and I can have a laugh with. Life’s too short to be too serious!

  • You bet! If you have a strong brand and logo then lets hammer out those brochures, e-mail campaigns, etc.!

    That said, if your logo is blurry the seconds it’s blown up the size of a loonie then I’ll likely help you vectorize that logo or give you a nudge to consider a re-brand.

    I love working with businesses to completely rebrand their company but also love developing packaging to ship your products in!

  • I have been doing graphic design for over 8 years, both as a freelancer and through conventional employment.

    My professional experience (beyond Cycle Design) includes:

    • Working for a business consulting firm as a consultant and manager — while also managing much of the business’ graphic design, specifically designing consulting documents and marketing material.

    • Working for an athletic apparel company as the Director of Strategy and Branding. A significant aspect of my role is managing our company’s marketing

  • I am a self-taught designer with over 8 years of experience, utilizing professional software — primarily Adobe suite (Indesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator).

    Aside from design education, or the lack thereof, I hold a Bachelor of Commerce degree focused in Operations Management and have my Project Management Professional (PMP) designation. These may not sound very ‘design-y’ but they sure help from a process and business perspective!

  • At Cycle Design & Comms, I believe in offering top-tier design without the hefty agency mark-up.

    I always quote projects prior to starting any work so there are no surprises.

    These will give a good idea of where my prices begin:

    • Logo design & branding starts at $1,100

    • Website design starts at $1,200

    • Graphic design projects vary based on scope—projects start at $200
